The 7km circuit passes through tall eucalypt forest and heathland. Take the Manly Ferry (electric) from Circular Quay, then bus to the dam. Pack a swimsuit – the dam’s still waters are perfect for a quiet dip. Spot lyrebirds and swamp wallabies if you’re quiet.
